Printmaking with Sarah Shepley | 11.18.2017
In this class, participants will explore the many uses of Geli plates (mono printing with out a press using soft gel “plates”) to create layered artwork on paper. Whether you want to create designs for bookmaking and collage or work on a narrative piece, this workshop offers a variety of techniques. We will use common, everyday items like lace, onion bags or wallpaper samples to explore the use of texture. We will create a "rainbow roll" for blended backgrounds and try gel mediums for transparency. You will also be able to design your own stencils and add repeatable images to your work. No previous experience is necessary to enjoy this creative process and all levels are welcome to join!
