Add a little joy to your life with a cheerful, knitted gnome! We will be using the New Gnome pattern, designed by Susan B. Anderson, who’s concise written instructions, and photo tutorials are sure to win you over as much as your gnome! We’ll help you learn to knit in the round using double pointed needles, and provide all the yarn/stuffing/etc. needed to finish your project. Learning to knit tiny things like this can be a little fussy, but with guidance and a little patience, you can do it!

Class Materials Required:

  • Pattern, yarn, stuffing and poly pellets to fill your gnome will be provided. Feel free to bring your own worsted weight yarn if you’d like.

  • US size 3/3.25 set of 4 double pointed needles, US size 5/3.75 set of 4 double pointed needles,

  • tapestry needle

  • scissors

Skills needed:

To join this KAL you should already know how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Some experience knitting in the round would be helpful, but not required. The pattern utilizes the following techniques: knitting in the round using double pointed needles, increasing and decreasing stitches, picking up stitches, knitting i-cord.
